On April 24-25, 2025, Moscow hosted the international strategic planning meeting “Empowering through Education for Health and Well-Being in a Learning Environment.” The meeting took place on the grounds of Moscow City University and Sberbank's Investment in the Future Charitable Foundation.
The event was organized by the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education, the Investment in the Future Charitable Foundation, and Moscow City University. Participants included representatives from academies of education, universities, schools, educational development institutes, public organizations, representatives of UNESCO, Investment in the Future Charitable Foundation, and Moscow City University. The geography of participants covered countries such as Belarus, China (online), Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan (online).
Since 2022, the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education and the Investment in the Future Charitable Foundation have been cooperating with the countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia in the field of education for health and well-being in a personality-developing educational environment. This meeting is designed to analyze the achievements of the three-year collaboration and identify strategic priorities for the collaborating partners of the project "Empowering through Education for Health and Well-Being in a Learning Environment."
As a result of the two-day meeting, the International Initiative for the Professional Development of Teachers "Empowering through Education for Health and Well-Being in a Learning Environment" will be launched, aimed at fostering international cooperation between educational organizations to develop and promote tools for creating a personality-developing educational environment, socio-emotional development, and the formation of a healthy lifestyle in the interests of development, health, and well-being of students. During 2024, the Investment in the Future Charitable Foundation has already established mutually beneficial cooperation with colleagues from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, and Uzbekistan.
