Personal and Professional Development for Educators

The Program offers a wide range of opportunities for training, professional and personality development for managers of education providers, teachers, nurturers, school psychologists, mentors, who wish to apply methodologies and create personality and developmental educational environment (PDEE), ensure social and emotional development (SED) and the personality potential development (PPD) of children and adults.

The structure and content of the training are based on relevant scientific concepts and incorporate advances in positive psychology, personality psychology, and motivation.

If an education provider (school, kindergarten, further education establishment) is interested in the comprehensive use of the PDEE, SED and PDD methodologies, its employees have an opportunity to complete advanced professional training programs (APTP) provided by the Laboratory of the Development of Personality Potential in Education of the Research Institute of Urban Studies and Global Education of the Moscow City University, Pedagogics Institute of St Petersburg University, and in the regions, participating in the Program on the basis of education development institutes and centers, teachers' training colleges, and specialized departments at universities. APTP training is designed for management and teaching staff of education providers, ensuring a systemic approach to the transformation of the educational environment with the focus on personality developmental. Upon completion of such training programs, each participant has an opportunity to make a unique contribution to the development of their organization.

Advanced training programs in the regions participating in the Program

The Program includes three APTPs to support the implementation of systemic changes in education providers. All the programs have been included in the Federal Register of Further Professional Teacher Education Programs of the Academy of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

Advanced training programs rely upon the concept of "living" the proposed content, mastering design techniques for systemic changes in education providers, planning the results of innovative activities and analyzing the results achieved.

APTP helps:

  • managers get the opportunity and acquire the tools for comprehensive analysis and assessment of the environment in their respective organizations and the implementation of changes building on the specific activities of their school or kindergarten;
  • teachers gain deeper understanding of the potential of social and emotional development of all education process stakeholders and acquire tools for SED and PPD in children and adults;
  • mentors develop practices of managing team interaction in their education providers, as well as providing targeted assistance to colleagues and helping them navigate in the large variety of products and solutions of the Program.

Personality and Professional Development Workshops project

Personality and Professional Development Workshops (the Workshop of research, teaching and coaching, moderation, expertise, mentorship, supervision, experience sharing, etc.) are the logical extension of advanced training programs, offering teachers the opportunity to master an individual set of supra-professional competencies that improve personal resilience and flexibility, as well as promote their professional competitiveness.

Participants of the Personality and Professional Development Workshops project get an opportunity to build a personalized learning route in the Workshops as part of their continuous education path, choosing one or more platforms for sharing the expertise and methods of solving relevant personality and professional problems. The Workshop cycle is repeated annually, with work schedules and content adapted to participants’ needs.

A creative and personalized format of working in Workshops is coupled with the opportunity to get a certificate of successful completion and the possibility of future professional implementation in the Program, based on the acquired competencies. Certified Workshops participants may conduct AFTP classes as Program teachers, act as class moderators and mentors of the Program participants, conduct expert review of management and pedagogical projects, supervision at the request of the Program participants to resolve their professional difficulties, etc.

The project is organized by the Charitable Foundation 'Investment in the Future' and the MCU's Laboratory of the Development of Personality Potential in Education.

Open Online Courses

Based on various learning solutions, the Program participants can create their personalized learning tracks on the School of Opportunities platform. In the Training section a user must answer two short questions (What is your specialty? And what are your interests?), and the system shall offer the content for the user's personal learning track. Students can track their learning progress in their personal accounts on the platform. A certificate is issued based on the results of each course.

Network Master's Program

A master's program — Personality Potential Development in Education: Personalization and Digitalization (Psychological and Pedagogical Education track) was designed and is being implemented at the initiative of the Research Consortium of Universities 'Personality Potential Development in Education' and with the support of the Charitable Foundation 'Investment in the Future.'

In 2021–2023 the program was tested at the Moscow City University and is currently being implemented by 12 universities in Russia. In 2024, thanks to the accession of the Kyrgyz National University, the network master's program gained an international status.

The master’s program is designed for teachers, professors at teachers' training colleges, as well as managers and employees of school and pre-school education providers.

Academic support of master’s students is provided by leading experts in the field of pedagogics, psychology and personality potential development, ensuring a high level of research and project graduation thesis.
