Investment in the Future Charitable Foundation helps in the development of social and emotional skills in Uzbekistan

As part of the cooperation agreement between the Foundation and Fergana State University, it was decided to hold events to improve the skills of teaching staff in the field of social and emotional skills of teachers and children. To this end, training courses were organized for teachers of the Faculty of Psychology and the Faculties of Primary and Preschool Education.

The comprehensive approach to learning included two stages: an online learning (June-July) and an intensive full-time in-person module (August). Teachers of the Faculty of Psychology, as well as the Faculties of Primary and Preschool Education of Fergana State University became participants of the Programme.

The main areas of study covered the concept of emotional intelligence, the specificities of the development of socio-emotional skills in children, methods of working with adolescents, and practical tools for the development of social competencies.

Nina Rychka, Leading Methodologist of the Developing Environment Programme at the Investment in the Future Charitable Foundation, acted as the key expert of the event. A representative of the Foundation shared with the participants the latest developments in the field of educational technologies.

The practical significance of the training was manifested in the transfer of modern educational materials, discussion of the adaptation of methodological resources, planning the integration of new courses into the educational process, and creating a base for further cooperation.

Thus, from September 2025, a specialized course on social and emotional intelligence for 166 university students will start at Fergana State University. Agreements are being implemented on the establishment of a resource center based on the Department of Psychology, the adaptation and translation of educational materials, as well as methodological support for teachers and students.

The collaboration between the Foundation and the University is part of the international initiative for the professional development of teachers "Empowering through Education for Health and Well-being in a Learning Environment That Fosters Personality Development."

The expected results of the cooperation between the Foundation and the University include improving the quality of teacher education in the region and expanding opportunities for professional growth of the University’s teachers and students. The project opens new horizons for the exchange of experience and the development of educational initiatives at the international level.
