On November 1-3, 2024, the Annual Methodological Seminar of the University Consortium "Personality Potential Development in Education" was held with the support of the Investment in the Future Charitable Foundation. Representatives from 19 out of the 26 Consortium universities in which teacher training programs have been implemented took part in the Seminar, which was also attended by the Foundation's international partners.
The Annual Methodological Seminar of the Consortium is one of the key events that serves as a platform for sharing experiences and strengthening partnerships. The participants of the Seminar develop strategies and work out solutions that help effectively manage future challenges within the educational environment.
This year, the Seminar opened with presentations on the Consortium's work priorities in higher teacher education. Among the speakers were Elena Kazakova, Chairwoman of the Consortium Council, Pyotr Polozhevets, Executive Director of the Investment in the Future Charitable Foundation, Igor Remorenko, Rector of Moscow City Pedagogical University (MCU), and Elena Cheburashkina, Academic Director of SberEducation LLC.
This year, the Methodological Seminar took place at the Corporate University of Sberbank. Working sessions of the Seminar covered important topics including digitalization, the formation of an educational environment for personality potential development, and approaches to addressing the shortage of educational personnel. Russian experts were accompanied by international guests, including Almagul Mukhamedkhanova, Chief Researcher of the Institute for Continuous Teacher Education (ICTE) and Advisor to the President of the National Academy of Education named after Y. Altynsarin (NAE), and Aslan Kulbaev, Director of the Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training of Personnel at Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn (KNU).
The "Integration Potential: An Invitation to Collaboration" session was opened by Dmitry Sizarev, Head of the Personality Potential Development (PPD) Program, he elaborated on cooperation between the Program’s participants (kindergartens, schools, institutions of further education, teacher training colleges) and Consortium universities. Such integration would create platforms for students of the Consortium master's program "Personality Potential Development in Education: Personalization and Digitalization". The Program is aimed at further implementation of the personality potential development within institutions, from kindergartens to universities.
Ekaterina Haustova, Head of the Foundation's International Program, in her speech, focused on and presented the human-centered approach to education as the primary track. This concept aligns with the current goals of the Personality Potential Development Program and regulatory requirements within the area of upbringing and education.
Tatiana Galaktionova, Expert of the Autonomous Non-Profit Educational Organization (ANPEO) "School League" and Yanina Butkevich, Head of the "Development Workshops" project, presented the said project which aims to develop personality potential through practice-oriented trainings.
Dmitry Sizarev summarized the 2024 results of the PPD Program, paying special attention to cross-regional communities. He also noted that today, 580,000 children are already being taught using the PPD Program’s materials.
Andrei Ioffe, Head of the MCU Laboratory for Personality Potential Development in Education, presented the achievements of cross-regional training communities - networks of educators participating in the PPD Program that facilitate experience exchange and create unique educational practices.
During the "Image of the Future – 2025" Session the participants developed ideas for new methodological seminars, a mobile semester, and joint educational projects aimed at strengthening interuniversity connections for students of the "Personality Potential Development in Education: Personalization and Digitalization" master's program.
The "Personality Potential Development in Education" Research Consortium was established on July 20, 2020, by leading universities in Russia that have implemented teaching training programs with the support of the Investment in the Future Charitable Foundation. Its goal is to conduct joint research, develop and utilize methodologies aimed at enhancing personality potential within the educational system.
