The All-Russian Convention of the PPD Centers is the key annual event of the Developing Environment Program. The PPD Center Network is a community of like-minded individuals who share the vision of creating a personality-developmental educational environment and implementing it into their work. This year the Convention was attended by more than 400 teachers and directors from 177 schools and kindergartens from 33 Russian regions, representatives from institutes of education development, pedagogical colleges and universities, and international guests from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

Participants of the Convention focused on creating cross-regional pedagogical communities and supporting their educational initiatives throughout the current academic year. During the planned activities the participants had an opportunity to share views and achievements in the implementation of the personality potential development concept within educational institutions across different Russian regions. Another focal point of the Convention was the opportunity to pass on the initiative to regions that will have the opportunity to launch new joint projects implementing the methodologies on personality potential development.

Alexander Anashchenko Chairman of the Volga-Vyatka Bank of Sberbank

“Sberbank is interested in educational projects not because schoolchildren and students are our potential clients, but because they are the future of Russia. It is crucial for every kid to have maximum opportunities for their development, development of their potential, and, subsequently, personality development letting children evolve into proactive members of society. With that in mind teachers in the PPD Centers help children to master techniques of dealing with unconventional tasks, make independent decisions, apply creative and critical thinking, and acquire flexible systematic imagination.
